Vita   

   Chen received Ph. D. degree in Information Engineering and Computer Science from Feng Chia University in 2004. His dissertation received the gold medal of the best Ph. D. dissertation award (2004) and the 19th Acer Corp. Dragon Thesis Award (2005). He is now an assistant professor in Chung-Hua University.
    He was a visiting scholar in Illinois Genetic Algorithms Laboratory in University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign during 2001-2002, 2007 and MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory during 2007-2008. He is the recipient of the Taiwan Government Visiting Scholar Visiting Fellowship (2000), IEEE Computational Intelligence Society Walter Karplus Research Grant (2003), Taiwan Merit Scholarships (2006), and World’s Who’s Who (2008-2009).
    His research interests include evolutionary computation, multi-objective optimization, data mining, computer-aided design/manufacturing, experimental design and problem solving. He is a member of IEEE and ACM.
