Symposium Overview

The objectives of 2007 Russian-Taiwan Symposium on Methods and Tools of Parallel Programming of Multicomputers are to bring together scientists working with theory, architecture, software, hardware, solution of large scale problems and education in order to provide integrated discussions on Parallel Programming of Multicomputers and to disseminate new results, tools and technological knowledge. We would like also to establish an international cooperation between participants for the use excellent ideas, experiences, the results of the latest research in all parallel programming fields of multicomputers and highlight related activities from two nations.  We welcome your active participation.

The field of parallel and distributed computing is going through rapid changes.  The emerging multi-core commodity processors and advanced networking technologies are allowing for the design of cost-effective parallel and distributed systems.  To achieve scalability and high performance in these systems, it is increasingly becoming challenging to design better architecture, software environments, networking protocols, compilers, operating systems, languages, algorithms and applications for designing next generation scalable and high performance parallel systems. MTPP 2007 addresses these challenges and explores emerging areas such as Web computing, P2P computing, grid computing, embedded computing, runtime systems and new applications.

As Multi-Core Architectures (MCA) present a new trend, core parallel processing algorithms will continue to become more important.  Furthermore, the wide-scale deployment of computer nodes, clusters, and embedded processors will continue to fuel core parallel processing and distributed systems algorithms. Thus, the importance of MTPP will continue to grow.

We invite authors to submit their papers on any aspect of parallel programming research and practice. All papers will be peer reviewed, and those accepted for the symposium will be included in a proceedings volume. The best papers selected by the PaCT-2007 PC will be included into the volume of the PaCT-2007 Proceedings.

The papers (in English, not more then 15 pages) can be electronically submitted up to the March 15, 2007, to the address  mtpp@ssd.sscc.ru.
